About the Role This position is responsible for development of Mobile Applications, mobile engineering, designing, testing, and maintaining the mobile technology landscape (including MDM, BYOD). The broader responsibilities include project management, resource estimation, cost optimization, and development for future state roadmap and strategy.
This position is responsible for delivering capabilities and services that are key to the mobility vision for Wells Fargo team members. The technology solutions that the role implements have direct impact to organization-wide objectives for over 85,000 team members and every major line of business. This role will mobile enable existing capabilities/services, create new capabilities, increase the speed to market for new capabilities and ensure consistency. To deliver this, the role will lead 5 key areas within the mobility enablement space.
Mobile enablement of Apps, services and reusable components.
Data integration, synchronization and solutions engineering
Certification and deployment of apps and the mobile app store servicing all mobile-enabled team members.
Expansion of maintenance and governance to the Mobile Development Standards & Guidelines.
Management of Enterprise-wide Mobile Enablement Services, Consulting, Apps and Tools.
This position will manage Mobility team in India with team-size of 22 spanning across Mobile Application Development & Engineering.
This position will drive all aspects of the mobility technologies including configuration, deployment, patch management, monitoring, tracking, and support phases.
The candidate is responsible for driving mobility related projects including but not limited to configuration, installation, standardization, and rollout of mobile policies.
The candidate will be responsible for providing time and resource estimates for managing the workload for Mobility related projects & Mobile Application Development projects.
Resource planning and Resource management
Lead projects and work with Project/Program managers to track and manage status, risks etc.
Work with partners and stakeholders to enable mobile services & develop Applications.
Influence roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience considerations.
Drive roadmap and strategy which includes TCO and cost optimization strategies.
Product research and keep up to date on new trends and technologies in this space
Ensure deployment strategies, processes, and procedures are documented to standard
Provide project status updates
Attend/lead team meetings ensure deliverables are met and prepare reports & presentations as needed
Collaborate on Application lifecycle management.
Driving Innovation to help reduce Operational complexity
Act as a change agent for improvement of mobility initiatives
Market Skills and Certifications
Candidate must have at least 15 years of IT experience with atleast 8 years of Management experience leading Developer teams - Web & Mobile App (Hybrid)
Experience working in RESTful or SOAP web services
Experience leading Mobile Application Development teams in Agile methodology including weekly iteration reviews and planning.
Experience with mobile enterprise architectures & familiarity with iOS & Android platform Management.
Experience working in a global environment with stakeholders across multiple geographies.
Proven strategic, analytic, and problem-solving experience, applied to creating business value
Communication and presentation skills to communicate with business community at multiple levels excellent listening skills to comprehend what is said and probe for relevant detailed information
Innovation skills and vision. Ability to keep up with the latest technology and trends. Research oriented to provide solution options that fit business requirements.
Experience in Swift/Objective C/ Android native will be a big plus.
5+ years collaborative solutions experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline
Experience with Mobile technologies, including deployment experience across mobile development platforms for IOS and Android platforms.
Prior knowledge of standing up a CoE or shared service capability in a service delivery model is a plus
Strong foundational knowledge of mobile and internet technologies, development practices, mobile service capabilities, and competence in a former developer/tech lead or architect role.
Excellent communication skills, strong judgment, and the ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staff
