The Domain Services Technical Competency team is the Application Development group within Wealth & Investment Management Technology (WIMT) responsible for delivering and supporting reusable web services for consuming applications in WIMT and other LOBs across the bank. We are looking for an experienced developer to function in the following capacity: Act as an expert technical resource in the application development planning, testing, and implementation processes. This role will require coordination of assignments on multiple concurrent technology projects that are often complex in scope, risk and/or span with distributed team in different geographic location. Analyze business requirements, design and write technical specifications to design or redesign .Net & PL/SQL applications and work with web services. He/she will develop original and complex code and will verify program logic by overseeing the preparation of test data, testing and debugging of programs. He/she will lead and/or perform modeling, simulations and analysis efforts, participate in overall systems testing and support the migration of applications to production. Develop new technical documentation and participate in the development of department technical procedures. He/she will assure quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported area and will participate in updating and testing of the business continuation plan. Work collaboratively with other IT team members, server, network, DBA, architecture, information security, data transmissions and project management support personnel as well as business partners and end-users. In addition, responsibilities include C# .Net and Oracle/SQL coding, leading production deployments, investigating and solving production code defects and recommending performance improvements.
5+ years of application development and implementation experience
5+ years of PL/SQL experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Knowledge and understanding of Autosys
Knowledge and understanding of relational databases
Knowledge and understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC): all phases and types of testing
Knowledge and understanding of technology testing: design and coding
Knowledge and understanding of API programming with Perl, XML, REST or JSON
1 + years of Multi-Threading experience
Knowledge and understanding of MQ Series Messaging
Knowledge and understanding of SOA (Services Oriented Architecture)

Must have strong interpersonal/communication skills and have the ability to articulate complex technical issues and ideas in easy to understand business term
Candidate must have an understanding of object serialization and mapping
Demonstrated experience in developing / supporting .NET batch components using schedulers (e.g. AUTOSYS)
Ability to coordinate with QA & Testing team to analyze defects and estimate time line for defect remediation
Experience in estimating project tasks and coming up with Work Breakdown Structure for application development activities
Demonstrated practical application of a wide set of technical principles, practices, and procedures to design, build and implement complex application systems.
Demonstrated experience with mid-tier server side technologies and experienced in multi-tier, component-based architecture and design
Knowledge and experience with Explain Plans, Query Optimization and Performance Tuning
Experience with Unit Tests and Mocking
Ability to solve problems within area of control quickly and decisively and the understanding of when to escalate issues outside area of control
