Enterprise Finance drives financial management for the company and maintains and enhances risk and financial controls. Key functions within Enterprise Finance include finance and accounting; Treasury; corporate development, mergers, and acquisitions; Data Management and Insights, the Customer Remediation Center of Excellence, Enterprise Shared Services, Business Process Management, and Corporate Strategy. Enterprise Finance informs shareholders, regulators, taxing authorities, team members, and leaders of the company's financial performance through earnings releases, investor meetings and conferences, and meetings with regulators and credit rating agencies, following appropriate reporting guidelines. They also maintain and enhance risk and financial controls and lead many of the company's shared services functions including corporate properties, security, and global services. The Financial Analysis & Consulting team is a dynamic and exciting group in charge of optimizing and growing Wells Fargo's income by balancing risk and reward through sophisticated financial modeling and analytical techniques. This candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining financial valuation and analytical framework. This includes developing, automating and optimizing discounted cash flow (DCF) proforma valuation models, annual account profitability projection models, and analytical tools to track strategies performance for multiple business lines including Credit Cards, Personal Lines and Loans, Education Financial Services, Retail Services. The responsibilities also include development, update, maintenance and continuous improvement of model development documentation to ensure it is fully compliant with model governance requirements and standards. He/she will play an active role in supporting the business through developing and maintaining accurate and agile models and tools for advanced consumer finance analytics. The candidate will also be actively working with number of offshore resources, requiring strong organizational and communication skills. The successful candidate will need to possess advanced quantitative and analytic skills, strong understanding of the business strategy, financial cash flow analysis and credit risk in a Financial Services/ Banking domain and have experience in building valuation models and a proven expertise in Excel and SAS. Experience in manipulating analytical databases using the SAS programming language is preferred. The candidate needs to have great presentation and writing skills and a strong record in achieving success through partnering. The business you support requires strategies that leverage best practices from both quantitative and judgmental decisioning. Your value will not only come from being able to analyze data, but from thinking creatively and partnering successfully with other stakeholders to implement practical solutions. The candidate will be working closely with finance data support team and modeling infrastructure team and actively interact with team members supporting business finance analytics. You will play a critical role in working with partners to establish strategic initiatives and focus for the company. 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting; or a BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting
A BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modeling
Ability to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communications
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
Excellent understanding of financial concepts and valuation methodologies, cash flows, capital, and balance sheets, experience with financial company's account level data and preferably a credit card industry experience
Strong quantitative and deep dive analytic skills with high attention to detail and accuracy, ability to troubleshoot data, evaluate data patterns and interpret their financial implications
Prior experience in building cash flow proforma valuation models
VBA macros Experience
Ability to prioritize work, make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
Strong business partnership skills, ability to effectively communicate with team members and multiple stakeholders supporting different lines of business
Knowledge of financial databases and data sources, ability to quickly support exploratory data analyses
