The team is working on doing more proof of concept work and providing both development direction in new areas/concepts as well as proposing framework enhancements to make it easier to adopt advanced technologies and advanced resiliency techniques within the portfolio of WIMT applications. The team and this role will be working across multiple technologies as we path the way for technology adoption by the Wealth and Investment Management development organization. This Sr. Full Stack Developer typical work efforts will likely include POC work, building sample and reference applications, publishing some core common capabilities to GitHub and maintaining those capabilities, and working with application development teams on new techniques. The right engineer will be passionate about working with new technologies and eager to partner confidently with other professional developers across CIO landscape. The engineer should be familiar with agile methodologies and online collaboration tools that enable engagement across a geographically distributed team. This position will be responsible for full-stack development which can include developing enhancements or resolving bugs in existing applications, and working with ancillary technologies to support a variety of application integration methods.
10+ years of application development and implementation experience
3 + years of development experience with one or more of the following: Java, Perl, Python, or C+
2 + years of experience designing software solutions using software architecture design principles
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Git or GitHub experience
3+ years of experience securing public cloud deployments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS and Azure
1+ year of design pattern experience
1+ year of RESTful or SOAP web services
Other Desired Qualifications
1+ year parallel processing experience via technologies such as Map Reduce or similar
3+ years' experience designing and developing architectures that promote re-usability and best coding practices
Familiar with NPM, Atlassian, JIRA and Confluence
Experience with Apigee a plus
Experience with Kubernetes a plus
