Job Description

Vighter LLC is in need of healthcare providers for Public Health Emergency Support in response to 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

START DATE : < 2 weeks anticipated start date

WORK DURATION: Anywhere from 2-8 weeks, potential to extend based on the requests of the client .

Title: Anesthesiologist (COVID-19)


  • Provides medical services at the scope and level of an Anesthesiologist to preserve the health of employees and client personnel.
  • Administers anesthetic or sedation during medical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal or caudal methods.
  • Confers with other medical professionals to determine type and method of anesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain.
  • Coordinates administration of anesthetics with surgeons during an operation.
  • Decides when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to another room or ward or to be sent home, following outpatient surgery.
  • Examines patient, obtain medical history and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
  • Monitors patient before, during, and after anesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications.
  • Records type and amount of anesthesia and patient condition throughout procedure
  • Manages anesthesiologic services, coordinating them with other medical activities and formulating plans and procedures
  • Positions patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility
  • Provides and maintain life support and airway management, and help prepare patients for emergency surgery
  • Provides medical care and consultation in many settings, prescribing medication and treatment and referring patients for surgery
  • Instructs individuals and groups on ways to preserve health and prevent disease
  • Schedules and maintain use of surgical suite, including operating, wash-up, waiting rooms and anesthetic and sterilizing equipment
  • Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
  • Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
  • Maintain patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
  • Ensures operation of medical and administrative equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories; evaluating new equipment and techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Advanced University Degree in Medicine
  • 3 years' experience as an Anesthesiologist
  • Hold and maintain a current unrestricted government issued Practicing License in Anesthesiology
  • Accredited to a recognized U.S. standard or proven equivalent national qualification
  • BLS certification.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized and have excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with computer and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
  • Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, organized, and demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Location of services may at times be in remote, austere or challenging environments.
  • Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high paced environment without physical limitations.
  • Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.

  • Current ACLS, PALS certification.

  • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time
  • May require bending, stooping and lifting as required for patient care and transport
