ASI is seeking experienced Logisticians to work in Orange Park, FL. Logisticians perform various tasks related to the development, operation, evaluation, and improvement of weapon systems and information systems.
Leads the execution of complex tasks by applying extensive logistics/engineering techniques, principles, and precedents to develop, design, modify, install, test, evaluate, or operate electrical, electronic, avionics, mechanical, communications, stores, armament/ordnance, or related data processing systems for military weapon systems, or associated support equipment or components
Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares or applies engineering, technical or maintenance specifications, policies, standards, or procedures
Organizes, analyzes, and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information
Plans and performs tests and evaluations of systems equipment or components
Compiles, processes, reduces, or analyzes test data results
Collects, compiles, analyzes, investigates, researches, or applies maintenance, acquisition, or financial data and information
Develops, modifies, prepares, or validates documentation in relation to engineering, maintenance, and management information systems
Performs Configuration management as it relates to systems and sub-systems
Initiates, and manages Technical Directives by researching, developing and/or managing data and equipment
Supports the maintenance program by researching material availability from commercial sources such as PartsBase, WB Parts, and Aircraft Spruce
Initiates and manages Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
Develops and updates supply and provisioning data to include Source Maintenance and Recoverability coding
Develops and updates data for technical manuals including repair, inspection, and Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) manuals
Works on maintainability programs with engineering and maintenance organizations on issues such as
technical evaluation and identification of weapons and support equipment systems engineering requirements and resources
weapons systems hardware and software standardization and compatibility
Reliability & Maintainability (R&M) program test and evaluation planning and execution
Program management analysis
High School diploma or GED
Certificate/diploma from a technical school, trade school, or advanced armed services technical school in the fields of electricity, electronics, avionics, mechanics, armaments/ordnance, or engineering technology
Or completion of at least 30 semester hours of course studies at an accredited college or university in engineering, physics, or related scientific field
At least 8 years of experience applying engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, or evaluate military weapon systems
Configuration Management experience
Former Navy, Marine Corps, or Air Force technical / maintenance experience
Familiarization with online tools such as JEDMICS, Haystack, OneTouch, Deckplate, and EMALL
Defense Acquisition experience
Work Authorization/Security Clearance:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be qualified to obtain a Secret Clearance
