Reporting to the Materials Manager with a dotted line to the Plant Manager the Logistics Coordinator will be located at the Plymouth Meeting, PA manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the dock operations at the plant for both inbound and outbound operations. This individual will be responsible for ensuring inventory and process integrity as well as ensuring customer and organizational service levels are being met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Delegating task to warehouse staff members

• Identify product needs for shipments

• Ensure that all shipping and receiving documents and functions are completed accurately and on time

• Facilitate ease of outbound loading and inbound unloading by sequencing the dock schedules

• Works closely with purchasing, customer service, plant operations, inventory and distribution teams

• Responsible for communicating with production personnel to make sure all production requirements are met

• Research and troubleshoot inventory issues and perform adjustments after

• Meet or exceed all service and efficiency standards for shipping and receiving

• Handle all carriers, customers and customer representatives at the dispatch window

• Perform follow ups regarding shortages, damaged items and discrepancies with vendors, and maintains related documents

• Work on special projects as directed

• Responsible for carrying out company policy and initiatives

. Requirements:

• High School Diploma

• Bachelors degree preferred

• 3-5 years experience with manufacturing and warehouse operations

• 3-5 years previous experience in inventory management and transportation logistics

Knowledge Skills Abilities:

• Knowledge of manufacturing scheduling/planning

• Knowledge of warehouse operations both clerical and direct

• Strong proficiency with systems such as: Microsoft Office softwares, printers; RF Scanner; UPS/FedEx systems, and experience with ERP systems

• Ability to prioritize effectively and meet deadlines while performing with a high degree of accuracy

• Interpersonal skills to collaborate at various technical levels, with individuals in other business functions, and the potential to function in a supervisory role

• Must possess strong planning, organization, prioritization, and decision-making skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work in a chemical manufacturing plant

• Occasionally may be required to reach, squat, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs

• Ability to stand for long periods of time

• Might require occasional travel domestically

• Occasional overtime will be necessary
