Overview

Responsible for managing all aspects of AIMS administration (Airline Information Management System) for AAWH companies as required. This includes being a liaison between different departments and the vendor. To provide oversight and manage all facets of the AIMS system for all AAWW companies as required.

Responsibilities

  • AIMS Technical Management
    • Identify and document any technical issues or bugs during occasional system patches and upgrades.
    • Resolve any issues regarding AIMS functionality identified by users.
    • Provide technical support to Project Managers for the implementation of new AIMS modules.
    • Report AIMS Transaction Logs to Directors and Managers for regulatory compliance. Provide system reports related to probable user errors, possible wrong-doings, timing of transactions as a record for arbitration, grievance cases, etc.
    • Prepare and perform functional testing and acceptance scenarios to ensure the quality of the results of each delivery before production release.
  • AIMS Administration
    • Partner with IT Compliance and Resiliency department to run a company audit for SOX compliaFinance twice per year which is then audited by PWC and Internal Audit.
    • Modify user access rights based on departmental and company need.
    • Provide individual/group overview training on AIMS system as requested for new hires.
    • Provide IT Help Desk with documentation and training on system functionality to resolve basic user account and access issues.
    • Assist in the development of Standard Operating Procedures related to AIMS system and functionality
    • Assist in creating and maintaining the AIMS budget
  • AIMS Relationship Management
    • Provide support to the Senior Director Crew Planning and AIMS Administration as the secondary point of contact between AIMS and Atlas Air. This includes but is not limited to daily communication of programming and process related issues.
    • Manage all issues with AIMS through an appropriate database. This ticketing database will track and account for all incidents, change requests and other information related to AIMS.
    • Escalate all significant issues identified to the Senior Director of Crew Planning & AIMS Administration


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years' experience as an Analyst. Background in Business Management or MIS is preferred.
  • Additional certification or degree in Information Technology or Business is preferred.
  • Technical and logical understanding of aviation software required.
  • Minimum 5 years prior aviation experience in Crew Resources, Operations Planning, Maintenance, and Marketing required.
  • At least 5 years prior experience as an AIMS administrator is preferred.
  • Possess the ability to manage and complete multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must have a very good understanding of all facets of AIMS. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with Microsoft Access and Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Must be outgoing and possess the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be self-motivated and a self-starter.
  • Possess time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
