The Senior Data Warehouse Developer will design and develop data marts that provide MathWorks with insight into its staff members, work force applicants, and office facilities. You'll be responsible for data profiling, design, development, testing, and production support. You will work closely with our internal stakeholders and other members of MathWorks IT. We're looking for someone who is data-driven, a great communicator, naturally curious, and able to take the initiative required for solutions to be successful.
Gather requirements and translate into solutions, including data models and data marts
Profile and understand the large amounts of source data, including structured and semi-structured data
Work with stakeholders to address data and system gaps and developing integrations with other company data
Design and develop ETL processes to populate our data marts using a variety of tools including Prism Analytics and SAP Data Services
Conduct thorough testing of solutions to ensure quality
Conduct performance tuning, troubleshooting, and operational support
Provide support and mentoring to end users for their data needs
Expert-level ETL development experience using tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, SAP Data Services or Prism Analytics
Expert-level SQL programming skills with experience in SQL Server and/or MySQL
Experience with relational database design and data modeling using tools such as ERStudio or Erwin
Must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, flexible environment
Experience developing data marts using data from Workday, Cherwell, and JIRA
Experience with Prism Analytics
Experience building solutions using unstructured, semi-structured source data
Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or BusinessObjects
A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required.
