The Senior Program Manager - Infrastructure, Architectureand Operations (IA&O), will lead moderate to complex projects and programs within the Infrastructure and Operations IT organization. The candidate must have proven experience in managing complex IT Infrastructure programs/projects within the Life Sciences Industry. This role is also requiredto support the Portfolio management activities within the IA&O. This role reports to the Senior Director of IT Operations.
Management of multiple, complex projects - including management of other Project/Program Manager(s)
Major Role Key Activities:
Actively Driving: Actively drive projects and ensure alignment on all project details: objectives, scope, approach, deliverables, financials, schedule, dependencies and risks.
Engaging Stakeholders: Proactively manage IT and functional stakeholders, delivery teams, vendors, and Steering Committees to ensure accountability and drive value.
Managing Risks/Tradeoffs: Articulate key risks, dependencies, and scope tradeoffs within and across functions - and effectively mitigate risks/tradeoffs by identifying and driving changes to approach, timeline, budget, or scope.
Communicating: Clearly communicate project status, schedule, risks, issues, and changes/resolutions - keeping all stakeholders involved and informed on a regular basis.
Upholding Processes: Follow and uphold required and expected processes - including regulatory compliance standards - and provide input to improve processes.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
10+ years' experience working as an IT professional managing projects, programs and/or portfolios in the Pharma-Biotech industry.
Program leadership with significant experience in Infrastructure and Operations.
7+ years' experience implementing complex, cross-functional projects solutions within established software development life cycle methodologies.
A good understanding of the GxP processes with regards to infrastructure qualification.
Demonstrated ability to work and influence at multiple levels within multidisciplinary and matrixed organization.
Technical proficiency and strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
Minimum Knowledge Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, advanced degree in business or information technology desirable or a combination of degree and related experience that exceeds the minimum qualifications.
PMP/CSM certification is preferred but can be waived for candidates who have proven and demonstrated experience in the IT Infrastructure area within Life Sciences industry.
