We are actively recruiting for Production Helpers for our Clinton, IL plant location within our Action Technology Division of Tekni-Plex. This 3rd shift position is under the direction of the Production Manager and is responsible for producing and/or packaging quality tubing and/or cut pieces according to customer specifications. This person must be capable of performing all employee tasks and other duties as required and assigned.

    • Following all safety rules and procedures.
    • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Works closely with local management and production personnel to achieve the “My Goal is Zero” objective.
    • Checking all work orders for specific work instructions.
    • Perform hourly quality checks and double checks for accuracy.
    • Accurately complete all paperwork as required by ISO, GMP, HACCP.
    • Collect retains during hourly quality checks for Quality Control inspection.
    • Inspect work for accuracy, completeness, and professional look.
    • Perform random quality checks every 5 to 10 minutes to ensure product specifications.
    • Ensuring correct material, packaging supplies and quality control tools are being used.
    • Producing labels for cartons/spools.
    • Making cartons/spools for product when needed.
    • Assigning lot numbers.
    • Limiting Scrap and wasting of material.
    • Maintaining line specifications.
    • Basic trouble-shooting.
    • Provide training when needed or as needed to team member.

 

 

 

 

What skills do you bring to the role?

 

High School diploma or equivalent. Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work orders, operating instructions and procedure manuals and manufacturing terminology. Ability to print simple sentences and legibly complete reports. Ability to follow and understand verbal instructions. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to other employees of the organization and respond to questions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratios, and percentages to practical situations. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is regularly required to hear and talk. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift/move 75 pounds or more with help from others. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
