WSP is currently initiating a search for a Systemwide Support Engineer for our Lisle office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide technical support in various stages of a project, including conceptual design, design development, design submissions, contract documentation and administration, and project meetings
Prepare and review design and construction specifications
Participate in design reviews and oversee design development
Assist in managing 3D/CIM program
Track project construction costs and budget, including project controls
Assist in development and management of asset management projections
Manage Cartegraph OMS database
Effectively and clearly communicate to a wide range of professionals, inside and outside the organization

Passion for delivering high-impact client results in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a closely related field
2-5 years of design, construction, engineering, architecture, and/or project management experience
Ability to rapidly absorb and interpret technical information
Fluency with modern design and development principles
Ability to manage assignments independently
Ability to read and understand civil/roadway construction plans
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Strong attention to detail while demonstrating an ability and willingness to learn
Proficiency in Microstation, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
Knowledge of Illinois Tollway design and construction standards and criteria
Knowledge of the Illinois Department of Transportation Bureau of Design and Environment Manual and AASHTO design criteria
Knowledge of construction field inspection and applicable specifications
Illinois Tollway or IDOT experience
Ability to obtain Illinois Professional Engeering License within one year
Experience with program management
Experience with Cartegraph OMS
Experience with scheduling, contract control, and budget and cost control
