Come join our Kubernetes platform team to build, deploy, operate and enhance our clusters. Help expand our available service offerings with as many CNCF supported options as we can get our hands on. Help guide the adoption of Kubernetes across the organization.
To be successful, you should have moderate to expert knowledge in most of the following areas:
Deploying Kubernetes (beyond the managed service offerings from GCE, AWS and Azure)
Cloud and virtualization based technologies, e.g. Docker, Amazon Web Services (AWS), VMWare, OpenStack
Development/automation tools such as Ansible, Python, Git
Linux/UNIX Administration and Automation
Most importantly, you should be a creative thinker and leader able to adapt to the rapidly changing world of Kubernetes and the surrounding ecosystem
Contribute to our Kubernetes cluster deployment system for deploying to on-premise and public cloud providers
Work with internal customers to determine needs and translate those into requirements and designs.
Make decisions on problem mitigations in critical down time situations when escalation is impractical.
Act as an intermediary between other core infrastructure teams such as network, DNS and data center.
Create and deliver knowledge sharing presentations and documentation to developers and operations teams
Learning on the job and explore new technologies with little supervision.
Rotating on-call support of production infrastructure and applications and business hours support for development systems.
BS/MS in computer science or related field is preferred.
3+ years of total experience including 1+ years in the Kubernetes ecosystem
Familiar with Agile methodologies
Familiarity with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, TeamCity
Ability to work with and influence software development teams
Understanding of cloud native application architectures
Solid Linux experience (eg: Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) with a focus on web (Apache/Nginx).
Understanding of protocols/technologies like Microservices, SOA, HTTP, SSL/TLS, LDAP, JDBC, SQL, HTML.
A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
