Accredited formal education, certificate, bachelors, or masters’ degree in modeling and simulation (M&S) or Digital Virtual Training Environment (DVTE) systems, theory and application.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in planning, development and execution of DVTE or M&S based military training within a Joint National Training Capability (JNTC) accredited or service-level exercise program.
1year prior military service as a M&S Officer or Specialist (E-7 to E-9 or O-3 to O-6)
Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task
Job Responsibilities The Models & Simulation (M&S) Specialist will build an enduring M&S capability within MARSOC’s JNTC accredited Raven exercise that is able to leverage existing infrastructure and resources in order to build a library of simulated environments and vignettes to support designated training objectives. The specialist will train select MARSOC Raven URX personnel to be build, manage and execute M&S vignettes during the execution of training. Other Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
The M&S specialist shall identify courses of action for simulations integration into the MARSOC component exercise program by conducting detailed planning and coordination with higher and adjacent elements, along with integration with MARSOC component exercise program operations and intelligence scripters. The M&S Specialist shall build realistic models reflective of theater strategic and operational environments that support training to enable live, virtual, and synthetic environments.
Build simulations conducive to desired training scenarios and vignettes.
Coordinate with contacted scenario development personnel in order to ensure continuity between M&S generated products and the Raven URX and other scenarios.
Develop operational ad tactical training environments, vignettes, battle rhythms, and scenarios that support integration of SOF and conventional advanced technologies testing, demonstration, and tactics, techniques, and procedure development.
Develop an after action review covering the utility and employment of M&S capabilities, and publish results within 30 days after an exercise.
The M&S Specialist shall provide the MARSOC G7 Exercise Director and staff an in-progress review briefing to confirm final exercise plan for commander approval for execution.
