Role/Department Description:

The Product Development team is seeking a talented and motivated Product Manager to work on FactSet's developer portal and onboarding of APIs. The ideal candidate is technically savvy, thinks like a developer, and has a strong understanding of developers as end users and how API design impacts their experience. The right candidate will help define the roadmap for FactSet's developer portal by working with internal PDs, engineers, and clients to determine how best to meet their needs with not just easy to use APIs but also publication and usage management.


  • Define and communicate product roadmap, milestones, and releases of the developer portal
  • Work with development team to define and prioritize feature definitions and user stories for future iterations of the developer portal
  • Develop good understanding of client needs and market trends through direct client interaction and collaboration with User Research
  • Help establish API standards and best practices across all products
  • Act as gatekeeper to ensure compliance with standards

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent strongly preferred
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in software engineering or product development, with experience working with APIs or data feeds
  • Highly independent and pragmatic
  • Ability to build and maintain positive cross-departmental collaborative relationships
  • Must be able to effectively communicate business concepts to technologists, and technology concepts to business partners
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
  • Excellent presentation, public speaking and written communication skills
  • Agile experience a plus
