Polaris Alpha Advanced Systems, a Parsons Company, is seeking a highly experienced candidate to work as a subject matter expert for mapping and driving Army research and development initiatives to support critical Warfighter needs. Candidate will work across all echelons of research and development teams as well as DoD stakeholders. This is a regular, part-time position supporting the Army Research Laboratory in Adelphi, MD and other CONUS locations as needed. The candidate will coordinate with Army users, other Army, DoD, and U.S. Government research and development agencies, industry, and academia and will prepare and present briefings to senior management and stakeholders. Candidate should possess excellent communication skills and have demonstrable leadership experience within technical program domains and the military stakeholder community.

This position requires the selected candidates to hold an active Department of Defense top secret level security clearance which requires US citizenship while working in support of a government contract.

Education and Experience:

  • BS or higher degree; advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience supporting a combination of military and related research and development programs
  • Possess a military background with strong emphasis on operational requirements, with special operations experience preferred
  • Experience working with Army, industry, and academia in support of research and development initiatives supporting current and future military requirements
  • Significant understanding of, and practical experience in, electronics and signal intelligence, night vision technology, data fusion, and concepts of operations and employment.
  • Strong understanding of the Internet of Battlefield Things and how it is leveraged for the Army
  • Detailed understanding of, and experience supporting, Multi-Domain Operations.
  • Significant experience in aiding the development of technology that is military-relevant and the ability to develop scenarios and vignettes that are applicable to Army R&D program efforts
  • Demonstrated and successful experience in working with government and academic scientist and engineers.
  • Experience authoring technical papers and presentations to DoD research and development stakeholder communities

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain, or currently possess Top Secret SCI clearance.
