The nation’s leading advocacy organization for children’s health care seeks an addition to their Finance team for someone to prepare and process payroll and ensure recordkeeping and reporting, serve as primary liaison with payroll and time keeping software provider, and perform general accounting duties as assigned.
High school graduate or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience required. Certified Payroll Professional highly desired.
Minimum two years of related payroll and general accounting processing experience required, including experience with payroll and timekeeping systems.
Must take initiative, pay close attention to detail, be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, complete work with a high degree of accuracy within tight deadlines, maintain confidentiality, and work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent customer service, math, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills required, as well as knowledge of federal and state payroll laws and basic accounting principles.
Strong technical acumen essential, with proficiency in MS Office, payroll/timekeeping software (ADP strongly preferred), and accounting software, and the ability to learn and apply new technologies.
