Specific responsibilities include:
* Lead the analysis of healthcare reform trends with implications to Biogen working with key MA&R, PPGA and Finance colleagues; this includes federal and state level reforms
* Serve as the finance subject matter expert regarding federal policy initiatives; translate and summarize key policy changes for Finance Leadership
* Develop Biogen financial positions in response to real-time policy developments, changes in the health policy landscape, and changes in public payer coverage and reimbursement policies for Biogen products.
* Collaborate with the Customer & Marketing Insight forecasting team, and MA&R (including Government Pricing) teams to develop robust payer forecasts, ensuring the latest market access intelligence is integrated into the forecast including managed care and government contract dynamics, payer mix and select non-payer discounting
* Partner with Accounting to support GTN quarter close. Analyze forecast versus actual Gross to Net results, characterize change drivers, communicate insights to Finance and MA&R leadership, and develop methods to enhance the forecast in future periods.
* Perform retrospective analyses to measure key contract financial performance and propose recommendations for future contracting proposals
* Develop new or enhance existing gross to net reporting and dashboards to meet the needs of Finance and Commercial leadership
* Lead the workstream for ad hoc scenario analysis for various forecasting and commercial planning requests

Qualifications

* Minimum 10 years finance and/or market access/reimbursement experience within a pharmaceutical company or consulting firm supporting the pharmaceutical industry
* High sense of urgency with the ability to meet tight deadlines
