INFICON is looking for an Advanced Buyer who will be responsible for purchasing a variety of commodities to support a high tech high mix manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate has experience in exceeding delivery reliability and time targets in a similar environment, is an excellent communicator, and takes full ownership for achieving world class results.
Ensure material availability to production plan
Support (or lead) efforts to engage suppliers in lean manufacturing methodology in furtherance of shared cost savings and/or optimization
Maintain and grow supplier relationships in support of INFICON's tactical and strategic initiatives
Remain knowledgeable surrounding economic and industrial trends that impact the market's prices and capacity
Support supplier quality compliance activities - i.e. 8D process
Engagement with marketing and engineering departments surrounding new product development
Coordination of negotiation activities with respect to assigned commodity and/or supplier base
Monitor purchase price change and opportunities for saving
Supporting role in strategic supplier development
Minimum 5+ years in a Procurement Role
Detail and Results oriented
Excellent priority setting ability
Demonstrated sense of urgency
Ability to Communicate and build relationships both internally and externally
Experience in a Lean Manufacturing Environment
Experience in a Pull Supply Chain System
Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Higher
