EPS Mission Support Services Division is seeking applicants to fill an Entry/Mid-level Electrical/Electronic Engineering position, located in Panama City Beach, Florida. This position is in support of our Seaport-e Task Order supporting the Technical Engineering Department on mutliple seaport Task Orders. This position may require travel CONUS and OCONUS in support of enginnering activities. Travel will be less than 10% of the assignment.
Ability to perform as the primary Electrical Engineer on all engineering tasks.
Candidate will work closely with Senior Engineers, Senior Technicians and Logisticians to rapidly prototype, modify legacy circuit card designs, drawings and initial designs of various systems.
Qualified individuals must possess an understanding of the engineering life cycle as the system progresses.
Must be able to create and modify detailed models and drawings using industry standard Eagle, AutoCAD, SolidWorks and Fusion modeling software. Other electrical and printed circuit board (PCB) design software equivalencies are acceptable.
Ability to understand schematics, generate interconnect diagrams and troubleshoot hardware.
Basic understanding of PCB fabrication and assembly processes.
Check designs and drawings for form, fit and function as well as clarity, completeness and conformity to drafting standards.
Interpret and apply a detailed bill of material (BOM) and design change notice to verify components of a detailed design.
Assign and properly record simple part numbers in accordance with DoD standards.
Operate computer systems to create and manage task, project and process documentation in accordance with company policy to meet project requirements for data acquisition, task result recording, project status reporting and BOM review.
Manage electronic communications, assigned task and project schedules and project and process documentation in accordance with company policy.
Provide regular verbal and written reports summarizing project activity, conditions, procedures, results, conclusions and recommendations to project leaders.
Desired Skills/Other Considerations
Knowledge of Electrical Engineering and Acquisition practices in the DoD Field
Revision control (Configuration management)
Participate Change Correction Boards
Test plan development
Test execution planning
Track records of writing good requirements that can be successfully implemented.
Experience with UML
Experience with Matlab/Simulink and Stateflow
Experience developing systems using Enterprise Architect (EA)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is highly desired.
Operational experience with military tactical data systems, communication systems and Mine Warfare (MIW) and Mine Countermeasure (MCM) systems is a plus.
PCB Design, Fabrication and Assembly Process are highly desired.
