Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms is currently seeking an IP Administrative Assistant who will be resident in our Washington, D.C. office. The qualified candidate will provide administrative support to the Intellectual Property Practice Group in an environment where superior client service is emphasized and practiced.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining case and client files.
Provide administrative support to Patent Manager and specialists.
Prepare routine patent correspondence; not limited to reporting communications to clients.
Maintain filing system including paper, electronic and chronological files.
Processing expense reports, scanning, copying, wordprocessing and preparing shipping labels for outgoing courier packages.
Review and processing of external deposit account expenses.
Developing and maintaining a system/process for tracking matters that require future attention.
Scheduling appointments and coordinating meetings; arranging audio and video conferences.
Provide backup support to other team members in the IP Group.
Perform other relevant duties in the practice area as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of internship or professional experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Intellectual Property experience and ability to read Japanese language a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Experience with Worksite or similar document management system.
Familiarity with USPTO Website.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
Excellent written/verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to work overtime is required.
