Great Performances is hiring freelance Culinary Assistants. We enhance life's celebrations with great food and artful service while maintaining a high level of professionalism and grace. We believe in collaborative commitment to service, innovation and quality. We execute small, intimate gatherings with craftsmanship and devote our attention to the details of large events. You can refine and grow your culinary skills with us, while interacting with some of NYC's accomplished chefs.
We work side-by-side with local growers and purveyors to bring the freshest seasonal foods from farm to table. We promote sustainability through Katchkie Farm, our very own 60-acre organic farm in Columbia County, New York. We also operate venues and cafes throughout NYC, including Jazz at Lincoln Center, BAM, Apollo, Signature Theatre, and Wave Hill. Additionally, we have an exclusive relationship with The Plaza.
As a member of our freelance culinary team you will be offered work at a multitude of high profile events in top class venues in NYC and the surrounding area. Candidates who have passion and seek to advance their career in the culinary arts will be offered further training and development, as we look to promote from within our growing organization.

References of culinary background required

New York City Food Handler's Certificate is a plus
