Come join us and help shape the future!   WSP Transportation and Infrastructure seeks an individual to work in their Briarcliff Manor, NY office. The candidate will gain experience in the performance of bridge inspection projects. WSP Transportation and Infrastructure seeks an individual to participate in a NY State sponsored training program in connection with bridge inspection and reporting work associated with Triboro Bridge and Tunnel Authority; Port Authority of NY & NJ; and, Metro North Raiload.   Job Duties includes:
  • Field inspections
  • Report preparation
  • Document research
  • Experience with AutoCAD and knowledge of reading drawings
  • Local candidates are only being considered
  • Student enrolled in their third or fourth year of an undergraduate or graduate program
  • Must be in good academic standing
Requirements Minimum Qualifications
  • AAS degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Physically capable of performing continuous field work including working at heights and in close quarters, climbing, carrying ladders and gear, working in adverse weather conditions, etc
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Exhibit interest in performing the work contemplated, and be deemed capable of continuous employment over the duration of the program
  • Valid, unrestricted driver license
  • Be a minimum 18 years of age
  • Have no prior work experience and/or qualification in/for the job classification being trained for
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
