The Business Development Director will focus on supporting the Asia Education Growth strategy and deployment. This will include responsibility for opportunity pipeline development, joint go-to-market initiatives and solutions, establish and nurture executive level relationships with key customer segments. You will promote our technology enabled content solutions to Higher Education Institutions across Korea & Japan.

As a self-motivated individual with a flair for sales, you will be passionate about:

This is a Contract role for an initial 1 year period with the potential to be converted into a permanent position.

In this role you will:
  • Work with Senior Executives, such as Presidents and Vice Presidents of Universities to close large deals
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of Wiley's product range
  • Build and maintain an accurate database of your customers, business activity and your progress towards goals
  • Craft business proposals that meet the needs of our customers
  • Conduct presentations to key stakeholders
  • Keep abreast changes in the marketplace and insights for the future

The ideal candidate will have:
  • A winning approach and proven track record of achieving revenue targets
  • Develop go to market solutions based on customer requirements
  • Experience in high level solution-based selling
  • Strong questioning and listening skills
  • Experience facilitating customer's transition to a digital / technological environment
  • Exceptional communication, organisational and analytical skills
  • Experience selling into various levels of seniority within a business, and the ability to meet, persuade and engage stakeholders across all levels and forge strong relationships
  • Ability to speak either Japanese or Korean is desirable, must have good English communication skills.
  • Experience in the publishing and /or education sector - desirable, but not essential.
  • Established relationships with Senior Executives in Higher Education Institutions is desirable, but not essential.
