As a Project Manager in MathWorks' in-house creative agency, you will work in a busy, high-energy environment and join a talented team of creative professionals. You will collaborate with dozens of internal business partners as well as external agencies. You will be responsible for managing projects that support student competitions, account-based marketing, and internal company events stationery, and giveaways.
You'll manage projects through all stages, starting from requests through to production. In this role, you will be forecasting, estimating team availability, scoping, assigning, scheduling work, ensuring scalability, and collaborating with business partners as well as vendors. Along the way, you'll optimizing processes and deliverables, define best practices, and leverage our project management tools to ensure all work is produced on time, on budget, and on brand.
You should possess excellent relationship management skills and have the ability to think strategically and creatively.
Collaborate with dozens of internal business partners in field offices around the globe as well as external agencies.
Field incoming project requests, scope projects, determine project goals, define deliverables and tasks, conduct background research, and flag projects with potential low ROI.
Conduct kick-off meetings and establish detailed project plans using the project tracking system (Workfront).
Work closely with other creative services team members (designers, editors, video specialists, front-end developers and project managers) to prioritize project and ensure they are developed on brand and on schedule.
Oversee, manage, and prioritize online and offline deliverables throughout all phases of implementation.
Provide updates and reporting to internal team(s) as needed.
Review files for accuracy and ensure specifications have been followed and proper approvals have been received.
Conduct retrospective meetings and document opportunities for future enhancements.
Optimize the work, streamline processes, and leverage lean methodologies to reduce waste.
3+ years of program management or project management experience
Experience working in a large, high-volume marketing department or agency that supports the creation of both print and online materials for worldwide offices
Strong planning, project management, and organizational skills with the ability to lead multiple activities and resources while maintaining a focus on quality
Deadline-oriented and extremely organized
Strong interpersonal, client services, and negotiating skills
A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
