Come join us and help shape the future!   WSP is currently initiating a search for a Project Engineer for our San Diego, CA, Federal Way, WA and Seattle, WA offices.   The Project Engineer will serve in a key function supporting critical federal clients on large and complex civil design projects, both domestic and international. The Project Engineer’s responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:  
  • Participate in project teams to prepare site development, utilities, grading and pavement design for municipal and military projects.
  • Leverage experience with at least two, but preferably all, of the following civil design disciplines: storm drain design, sanitary sewer design, potable water facilities design, roadway plan & profile design, site grading and preparation and grading design.
  • Utilize design software packages such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Develop and meet project schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare technical reports.
  • Supervising the assignments of junior engineers and technicians.

  • 5 to 10 years of civil design experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering degree from an accredited program
  • PE license
  • Civil 3D and AutoCAD competency
  • Civil site design and modeling experience (utilities, grading, and pavement)
  • Knowledge of NPDES storm water documentation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Team-oriented attitude
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Department of Defense project experience and airfield design experience
