Job Description



Join our Data Warehouse team and help MathWorks solve interesting business problems, design top notch analytics, and make well-informed decisions. In this role you will act as the liaison between the Data Warehouse development team and our internal customers. You will immerse yourself in specific areas of the business like Marketing and Sales. You will become an expert in business processes and the analytics needed to support them. You will work with the Data Warehouse development team to engineer and design solutions to meet those analytical needs.


  • Immerse yourself in MathWorks day-to-day business processes to gain a greater understanding of the company's analytical needs.
  • Use agile practices to translate business requirements into user stories that developers can deliver.
  • Work with the management team to prioritize requests for each business unit.
  • Ensure our development team has a healthy backlog of work that aligns with our priorities.
  • Identify and recommend new ways to reduce waste by streamlining business processes.
  • Present findings in a way that can be easily understood. You will need to write and speak clearly and be able to easily communicating complex ideas.


  • Exposure to Predictive Modeling and Text Analytics.
  • Knowledge of SAP Data Services, BusinessObjects, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server or comparable database platforms.
  • Experience with MATLAB.
  • Experience with JIRA.

Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 3 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in/with relational database
  • Experience with statistical analysis
  • Familiar with Agile software development
  • Experience with data quality
  • Experience with data governance
  • Demonstrated experience in/with Microsoft Excel
  • Familiar with ETL tools
  • Experience with business intelligence
  • Demonstrated experience in/with data warehouse design
