Come join us and help shape the future!   WSP is currently initiating a search for a  Senior Structural/Bridge Engineer for our Morristown, NJ office.   Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Leading and performing design calculations and bridge design through utilization design and CAD software.
  • Preparing contract bid documents including final plans, specifications and cost estimates for structural projects.
  • Visiting project sites to perform bridge inspections, verify existing conditions during design, and provide construction support engineering.
  • Coordinating with other disciplines within the transportation department including but not limited to survey, roadway, drainage and planning.
  • Preparing technical and cost proposals.
  • Mentoring junior engineers.
  • Development of construction plans, cost estimates, specifications, and bid documents.

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
  • New Jersey PE License.
  • 10+ years of experience in structural design, development of construction plans, cost estimates, bid documents, and quantity takeoffs for transportation and bridge projects.  
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD and LRFR; and familiarity with DOT manuals and procedures.
  • Expertise in drafting software, AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work as a team member.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies
  Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Civil Engineering
