The Systems Engineering & Integration for the National Systems for Geospatial-Intelligence (NSG) program delivers full life-cycle systems integration and engineering services to the missions of its customer. This program is chartered to provide technical leadership for many of NGAs highest priorities, including CIO-T GEOINT Services Customer Success Division (TDC). Their primary mission is to transform the agencys operating model; providing all users the ability to find, get, use, and contribute geospatial data, content and capabilities on all domains, at all times, in any mission environment.
The GEOINT Services Requirements Engineer will support the Discovery and Needs Analysis Team. This team will collect needs from customers/users and evaluate the needs against specific cloud base criteria that aligns to the GEOINT Services Strategic Objectives and Geo Capabilities. Needs will be prioritized based on reach (how many people will be impacted); impact (how much will the impact be); confidence (how confident are your estimates); and effort (how many person weeks will this take). The team uses Lean Startup Methodology and Human Centered Design Thinking to gain user insight and ensure GEOINT Services builds the right thing the right way. They collaborate with GEOINT Information Office (ST) to develop a Lightweight Requirements Framework for each project. The team is also responsible for developing capabilities based on a deep understanding of the user: the users workflow; users pain points; how the users mission fits into the enterprise mission.
