Job Description


As a Senior Software Engineer in Test for the Test Frameworks area, you will have the chance to work on the fast-growing need in the Model Based Design world for efficient and effective automated testing.You will design and implement automated tests and test infrastructure for test frameworks and tools used by internal and external MATLAB and Simulink users. This position requires a strong software testing mindset, excellent debugging skills and a passion to provide the best customer experience for both internal and external customers.


  • Designing test strategies and implementing automated tests for test frameworks and tools
  • Participating fully in the feature design and development process for MATLAB and Simulink test frameworks and continuous integration workflows
  • Identifying defects early via exploratory testing
  • Debugging and investigating failures
  • Reporting defects, working with developers to resolve issues, and verifying fixes
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of software development practices to create high-quality software


  • BS/MS in computer science, engineering or math
  • Experience with programming languages like MATLAB, Python or C++
  • Strong ability to work independently and in a highly cross-functional team
  • Knowledge of xUnit test frameworks (example: Google Test, JUnit)

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Simulink and/or Code Generation
  • Experience with one or more Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins

Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required.
