A role in the Marketing Department to manage processes for proposing, approving, and prioritizing business and license model evolutions. Will provide guidance to individuals from Product, Industry, and Partner Marketing on how to effectively work their proposals through the organization from idea generation to approval and prioritization.
Manage processes for identifying, proposing, and prioritizing Marketing projects that require new, or changes to, licensing and business models. Team with Product Marketing, Business Model, and Product Lifecycle teams to shepherd proposals through the approval process.
Act as the point person within the Marketing Department for moving business model proposals effectively through the process. Provide guidance to Marketing staff with a goal of having their proposals efficiently reviewed, approved, scheduled, and staffed.
Prepare materials for and facilitate recurring standing meetings to help drive priorities and negotiate trade-offs
Use judgment to steer teams to employ the company's existing licensing and business system models and processes, and provide guidance to make teams aware of the impact of evolving those models or systems.
Analyze process performance to identify opportunities for improvement. Propose and manage projects to evolve processes and implement appropriate process changes.
Lead cross-functional team reviews of product release details to determine business model impact, identify stakeholders, and recommend actions for resolving non-standard aspects.
Previous experience in a process, project, or program management role
Exceptional process and project management skills; ability to drive projects and track cross-functional dependencies
Ability to build productive relationships and partner with internal stakeholders across a diverse range of departments, and at all levels of the organization
Willingness to learn, and ability to understand, software pricing and licensing models; some knowledge of these models is a plus
Ability to provide process guidance to Marketing staff and related internal stakeholders
Ability to lead meetings, note action items and track them to closure
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Self-starter willing to demonstrate ownership over complex tasks and analyses
A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience) is required.
