Do you enjoy data visualization and exploration? Do you enjoy finding the right visualization for your data and solving challenging testing problems? If so the MATLAB Charting Software Engineer In Test could be perfect for you. You will work with a team of Engineers that build MATLAB Charts and tools to interact with your charts . You will be responsible for developing automated test suites and conducting hands on testing for MATLAB charts and tools to interact with them. You will engage early in the software development process, influencing requirements specifications, attending usability sessions, and discussing software design and testability with the development team, to ensure that we deliver high quality software to our customers.
Design and develop test plans based upon functional and design specifications
Participate in functional reviews, test specification, documentation, and code reviews
Create and maintain automated and manual test suites with a heavy emphasis on test automation
Design and develop test tools to support UI test automation for MATLAB design environment components
Participate actively in functional, system and regression testing activities
Analyze and report bugs and work with software engineers to resolve them
Foster a continuous process improvement environment
MS or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or related area
Demonstrated experience in an object oriented programming language
Proficiency in MATLAB is highly desired
Experience with Junit or other XUnit based testing framework including working knowledge of XUnit based test automation principles.
Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP)
A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
