Looking for Spring and Summer 2020 Interns!

As an Intern in the Engineering Development Group (EDG), you will work on a project throughout the internship, as well as gain some exposure so our products and our clients. You will also provide valuable feedback to our development teams and become a resource for our worldwide team.

You will be working closely with full time Engineers in theEngineering Devleopment Groupand have the opportunity for consideration to transition to a fulltime rolein the Engineering Development Group (EDG) and other departments in MathWorks.


You will receive a combination of practical experience and formal training in a work environment that fosters and rewards cooperation, teamwork, learning, and fun. This will allow you to gain:

  • Product knowledge.
  • Troubleshooting skills.
  • Software testing and debugging.
  • Exposure to real-world applications.
  • Opportunities to develop your communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Opportunities to develop your programming skills.


  • Pursuing an MS or PhD in Computer Science with a strong academic record
  • Strong programming skills
  • Excellent communication and time management skills are a must
  • Strong Math/Calculus background
  • MATLAB knowledge or experience is a plus
  • 3-6 month full-time commitment

Required Qualifications
  • Candidates must be pursuing a master's level or a PhD level degree in a technical discipline.
