Work on the latest JavaScript technologies; AngularJS, ReactJS to improve the quality of our mission critical internal web applications.Take ownership and make an impact to engineering teams helping them move faster.

As a Software Engineer in Test for the Development Applications Team, you will be responsible for qualifying new UI features. You will also work on integration with 3rd party tools andinternal web applicationsused by the MathWorks Development organization.

You will work closely with the development team to ensure that we provide an awesome experience for our users. This position requires a strong testing mindset, excellent debugging skills, a great attitude and passion to continuously improve our tools and processes.


As an individual contributor on the team, this person will help with qualification of Development Applications and Tools.

Specific tasks will include:

  • Participating in design reviews
  • Developing test plans
  • Developing and executing automated and interactive tests
  • Reporting defects and verifying fixes
  • Debugging and troubleshooting failures


  • Experience testing JavaScript applications
  • Experience with Database testing and SQL queries
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python
  • Experience with automated test development and scripted testing
  • Experience with Windows and UNIX/ LINUX systems

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with MATLAB
  • Experience with web frameworks for testing desirable
  • Experience with Software Configuration Management tools

Required Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree and 5 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree) is required.
