We are currently looking for a senior software engineer to work within the MATLAB Enterprise Deployment group that is responsible for development of MATLAB Production Server. This is a key product for MathWorks in paving the path for establishing MATLAB as a data analytics platform in the enterprise. Candidates will be working with cutting edge technologies like containers and Kubernetes for the development of next generation of MATLAB Production Server. Candidates should be highly motivated, possess strong technical, analytical and communication skills. They should be comfortable working with large scale systems and be able to adapt to a dynamic environment that requires quick turnarounds.
Help design, develop, integrate and maintain MATLAB Production Server product.
Collaborate in a fast paced Agile environment with a highly cross-functional team
Provide inputs for enhancing current product features. Collaborate with the team to design and implement them.
Design and implement software and infrastructure to support high-availability and high-scalability
Troubleshoot product support issues post release and come up with solutions
Strong communication skills, evidenced by the ability to assess and interpret customer needs and requirements.
Prior development experience using C++.
Experience with build and debug tools in Windows, Linux or MacOS environment
A firm grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle: iterative development, high-quality maintainable code, unit tests.
Experience working with n-tiered, distributed systems across different Hardware/Operating System platforms.
Familiarity with communication protocols like HTTP, TCP/IP Experience with big data, Hadoop and Spark is a plus
Experience with container technologies like docker and Kubernetes is a plus
A bachelor's degree and 7 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 5 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree) is required.
