And the job is… selling lights; and we sell a lot of them! To do that, we have an exceptional team of sales folks, designers, quotations people, controls personnel, field tech programmers and project managers.
We are looking for someone to join our Field Tech - Controls Programming team here in the Bay Area. You will start with training and oversight but soon enough the reins are loosened, and you will be flying solo making decisions that directly impact our performance. It's not for everyone, you will be at different job sites weekly and possibly daily. You will be busy communicating with Electrical Contractors, Facility Managers, Controls Manufacturers and our ALR folks as well as programming and setting up control systems. Thinking on the fly, being flexible and time management are a must. Go ahead and add in doing a great job as well. The list… we are looking for the following:
Technical and or Lighting Controls Programming Experience
High Voltage – understanding of current, resistance, opens and shorts
Networks – understanding of IP Addresses and subnets
Electrical Circuits – understanding of how circuits are wired and related components
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Must be honest and ethical
Comfortable with computers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Tablets/Smart Phone Apps
Must be a self-starter
Must be a problem solver willing to work with multiple people/teams
Must take pride in workmanship
Must have valid driver’s license
A degree is preferred but job experience in lieu of is acceptable
