United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine’s Occupational and Environmental Health Business Operations Division (USAFSAM/OET) supports Defense Occupational and Environmental Health Readiness System (DOEHRS) and focuses on entering, assessing, managing and reporting occupational and environmental exposures. DOEHRS consists of multiple business areas; industrial hygiene (IH), environmental health (EH), radiation (Rad) and incident reporting (IR).


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Pull data from multiple sources, to include DOEHRS, and perform comprehensive Occupational and Environmental Health (OEH) reviews and gap analysis as it pertains to regulatory requirements
  • Design courses of action with the ultimate goal of standardized enterprise wide business practices and accountability measures. These comprehensive OEH reviews should be delivered within 45 days of assignment
  • Generate and provide comprehensive OEH data review reports that include objectives and tools for use at both operational and tactical levels. Tools should aid in performing, documenting, and tracking progress that would resolve gaps and ensure long term program health
  • Design presentations that clearly convey the course of action based on comprehensive OEH review findings.  Presentations should be delivered within 15 days of assignment
  • Review new training materials as requested.  Materials should be delivered within 30 days of assignment
  • Initiate new operational tools or update existing tools to clarify and enhance the USAF OEH mission as requested.  Materials should be delivered within 30 days of assignment.
  • Provide training via video teleconference as requested.  Training should be scheduled and delivered within 30 days of assignment
  • Provide focused support to specific Air Force bases to include tactical level training/education and data entry.  For example, the contractor may be required to educate base level personnel on the best and most appropriate methods that are currently in use when performing routine surveillance, entering the structure of water, ventilation or other large systems in DOEHRS, or provide reviews for specific OEH programs
  • May be required to enter data in order to correct deficiencies identified during OEH program reviews.  Data entry should take no more than 5 business days to accomplish

Job Requirements


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene or Occupational Health
  • 5 years of experience using DOEHRS and performing Health Risk Assessments (HRA)
  • Strong analytical skills and past experience in computer programming and developing system requirements with prior experience building spreadsheets and databases in Excel and Access is highly desired
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
