The Senior Project Manager must understand and have implemented projects utilizing Alternate Delivery Methods, primarily Design-Build.  A successful candidate will need to understand and manage design and construction within an active customer environment.   The ideal candidate will have experience in planning, design, and program/construction management; including project involvement in a variety of transportation and infrastructure projects, landside and airside projects, rehabilitation and reconstruction pavements, building redevelopment and expansions, and building system improvements. The selected candidate will be a team player, self-motivated with good communication skills and will supervise less experienced project managers, architects, engineers, and/or sub consultants either face to face or remotely. The selected candidate will be required to work on multiple concurrent projects which will require planning the work, prioritizing tasks, and following through to confirm that tasks assigned to others are progressing as required.   WSP is currently initiating a search for a Senior Project Manager for our Nashville, TN office. Requirements Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • Involved in program management and construction management of large transportation and infrastructure programs/projects including but not limited to airports, commercial development, parking garages, hotels, and related facilities.
  • Collaborating and/or coordinating teams consisting of multi-discipline staff and technicians
  • Involved from project inception to completion in the management of design and construction
  • Collaborating, managing, and/or coordinating design teams consisting of multi-discipline design engineers and architects
  • Perform Quantity Take-Offs, considering costs and quantities of material, equipment and labor
  • Analyze GIS data, client as-builts, survey data, geotechnical data, utility information and data needed for project development
  • Manage, review, and/or write technical engineering reports
  • Review engineering calculations and construction specifications.
  Experience Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering or Construction Management
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant work experience
  • Buildings development, redevelopment, expansion, modernization experience
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Prior airport, transportation, and general building construction experience
  • Must have authorization to work permanently in the US
  • Valid Driver’s License
