ERPi is currently searching for Project Managers to support the National Cancer Institute (NCI), Center for Biomedical Informatics and Information (CBIIT). The Center coordinates and deploys information technology and informatics resources to support NCI research initiatives, both intramural and extramural. 

 

The Project Manager will join a multi-disciplinary consultant and government team to help CBIIT effectively meet NCI objectives and end user support needs for informatics support through expert project and program management, business analysis, system architect services, program support, as well as technical consulting and other subject matter expertise.

 

The Project Manager will work closely with other team members in order to support the definition and design of informatics solutions to support basic, translational, and clinical cancer research. The Project Manager will perform activities, such as:

  • Develop and maintain project/program plans and schedules
  • Monitor the performance of each task or group of tasks and inform the government lead of all problems and accomplishments
  • Serve as technical authority for specific tasks and participates in identifying and implementing solutions to delays and roadblocks
  • Direct systems analysts, programmers, other technical personnel on assigned work
  • Provide on-site technical direction
  • Lead regular project/program planning and status meetings, documenting decisions and action items

Responsibilities

Required Skills:

  • Six (6) years progressive, successful experience managing projects and programs in relevant domains such as biomedical informatics, system design, software development, or application support
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related medical, scientific, or technical discipline is required

Desired Skills:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or similar
