Come join us and help shape the future!   WSP is currently initiating a search for a Quality Manager - Construction for our Chicago office.

Duties and Responsibilities:   Work would be typical of a quality manager in scope. •Responsible for the development, oversight and compliance of the CM Quality Assurance Plan. •Monitors and evaluates the quality of activities performed by contractors for conformance with the contract documents and industry standards. •Audits contractor quality control documentation to ensure that it is being recorded, controlled, maintained, distributed, and retained in accordance with the client’s standards and requirements. •Prepare Monthly Project Quality Control Summary Report •Chair monthly quality meetings with contractors and client. •Coordinates issuance/tracking/closing of Non Conformance Reports (NCR’s) and Quality Deficiency Reports (QDR’s). •Provides disposition of construction materials fabrication/testing/inspection reports and logs •Assesses CM activities to assure that they remain effective and continue to meet the needs of the client •Other duties assigned by Resident Engineer or Project Manager.   Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges.  If this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to have that first discussion of you joining our team. Requirements Minimum Qualifications:   •Minimum 7  years’ experience as a quality manager on major transportation projects.  •A BS degree in civil engineering, architecture or construction-related degree is preferred or equivalent degree.    Preferred Qualifications: •Transit experience a plus but not required. •Quality Management Certifications are recommended. •Knowledge of construction quality assurance and control concepts and tools. •Knowledge of policies and procedures related to quality assurance and control on material testing, quality plan implementation and auditing. •Ability to work on multiple construction projects simultaneously. •Illinois Professional Engineer License preferred, but not required.     About WSP USA   WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms—WSP. Dedicated to serving local communities, we are engineers, planners, technical experts, strategic advisors and construction management professionals. WSP USA designs lasting solutions in the transportation, buildings, energy, water and environment sectors.
