A career in Partner Affairs, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide strategic and operational support to current and former partners of the Firm. You'll have a big part in supporting our partners from assisting with partner admissions and talent development to partner compensation, administration, and benefits. Our team is responsible for managing financial programmes for our partners which includes the distribution of income and priority income allocations, financing and loans administration, financial settlements, the Partner Deposit programme, Global Mobility support via the Partner International programme, and partnership accounting and reporting.

2 year(s) preferably with financial analyst experience

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success with financial reporting systems and analyses, preferably for a global network of professional services firms or partnership, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Understanding of financial reporting systems in order to prepare and deliver reporting of data to group leadership, finance, and firm leaders enabling effective decision-making;
  • Understanding of journal entries, general ledger close procedures and account reconciliation processes; and,
  • Understanding the difference between fiscal, tax and calendar years to enable conversion of fiscal year income to tax year income.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success in financial reporting systems and analyses, preferably for a global network of professional services firms or partnership, emphasizing the following areas:

  • Utilizing systems and programming skills to access and organize data, perform applicable calculations, analyze moderate to complex information, assess the reasonability of results and drawing conclusions, update exhibits and slides, and complex documentation;
  • Displaying extensive organizational, mathematical and analytical skills to process and assimilate complex data, particularly using Excel writing complex formulas utilizing functions within the formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, AND functions, and Access setting up databases and writing queries;
  • Innovating through new and existing technologies and experimenting with digitization solutions /modeling tools;
  • Providing customer service, both verbal and written, responding to client requests promptly and professionally with confidence and clarity that builds end-user confidence;
  • Managing and coordinating multiple tasks with accuracy, completeness, and an orientation toward detail;
  • Proactively building rapport with others, understanding their goals and adding support and assistance that will enhance the relationship and support overall success;
  • Assisting in technical issues between departments utilizing appropriate communication to resolve;
  • Applying independent judgment to resolve issues accurately and concisely answer inquiries;
  • Managing key relationships, providing support and delivery of appropriate information timely and accurately;
  • Developing controls and procedures that enable timely and accurate analysis and reporting;
  • Developing and learning through every opportunity, quickly comprehending complexity and being intellectually curious; and,
  • Demonstrating some business fluency in Spanish is a plus.
