Warehouse, Lead Operation
The primary role of the Lead, Operations is providing leadership and direction for the Shipping (LUM) department in this location; assisting in oversight of departmental staff while ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment for customer orders..
Responsibilities include management of the Shipping (LUM) in this location. The individual will be responsible for possessing full understanding of the goals and objectives of the relationship between Concordance and its customers, and implementing strategies to support those goals and objectives.
Responsibilities include organizing the daily workload of department and directs employees accordingly. Resolves issues that arise and makes sure department is maintaining assigned goals.
Play a support role in interviewing and hiring quality staff members; overseeing a strong training regimen for new staff; continuously developing new and experienced workers; managing staff; and completing performance management reviews on assigned employees twice a year.
In addition to assisting in supervising staff, this position is also responsible for providing leadership by example while assisting with daily tasks.
Ensures that departments keep a clean and orderly work environment. Assigns general custodial tasks and establishes cleaning schedule for areas. Supports a healthy and safe work environment by communicating unsafe conditions immediately.
Maintains warehouse equipment to ensure safety of employees; addresses any mechanical issues that are reported.
Works proactively to foster and maintain a positive team oriented atmosphere at all times.

Preferred Equivalent Education Level Requirements: High School Diploma or higher
Experience Required: At least 3 years of experience in warehouse operations or distribution
Previous supervising and leading a team is desired
Previously displayed leadership characteristics such as working well with others, sharing expertise with fellow peers, functioning with tact and diplomacy, and presenting an overall positive attitude
Excellent problem solving, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills are essential
Must be able to lift/pull/carry at least 70 pounds; must be willing/able to stand and walk for entire shift, often over 8 hours. With or without accommodation.
Must possess problem solving resolution skills and be able to work in a fast paced and often stressful environment
Previous experience with VAI or similar warehouse management or operating systems is a plus
Proficient math skills
Able to work effectively on a team and collaborate with various departments within Concordance
