Concordance Healthcare Solutions has a job opening and exciting career opportunity for a Director of Supplier Relations at our Tiffin, Ohio facility.
The primary role of the Director of Supplier Relations is to work closely with the Senior Director to develop and implement the strategy of supplier management for the company. He/she will be responsible for a portion of Concordance's top branded suppliers and respective product portfolio. Position will also drive the development of sales and profit growth strategies for these product portfolios for Concordance's markets and channels. The Director will collaborate closely with Concordance's sales team in each market segment, marketing leadership, strategic partner integration leadership resources, and other company functional areas in support of short term and long term profit growth objectives.
The Director will work with the Senior Director to lead Concordance's Supplier Relations team. He/she will evaluate and enhance their ability to successfully implement core strategies and action plans established in their respective functional market to support Concordance's strategic initiatives and overall corporate plan.
What You Will Do:
The Director will be required to have strong relationships with key internal departments as well as supplier partners. It will be necessary to effectively collaborate with sales and departmental leaders in order to foster good communication and the sharing of best practices, especially as it relates to the company's most profitable strategic branded suppliers per market segment.
Coordinate with the Sourcing Department helping Concordance optimize the value of private label while also leveraging the value of aligned branded supplier partners. The role will require close alignment with the sourcing team, partners, and the sales and marketing teams to insure minimal conflict and maximum outcome for Concordance. Skills and experience associated with product management, project management, and strategic planning and analysis will be important for success.
Build stakeholder advisory process with expanded leadership from each respective market to gain consensus around the market strategy and the S/R strategy.
Accelerate the adoption of Concordance's supplier agreement process with branded partners.
Spearhead departmental process improvement and engagement with field sales to optimize results.
Lead people and processes to meet departmental objectives as dictated by annual sales and profitability goals.
Build strong relationships with the supplier community to develop the most innovative and effective strategies.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to contribute to operational cost savings and process improvement within core functional areas of responsibility and occasionally other functional area.
Position requires traveling.

What You will Need to be Successful:
Bachelor's Degree in business or related discipline. MBA, with concentration in marketing, finance, business administration, supply chain or related discipline is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare industry or at Concordance Healthcare Solutions. 3-5 years of experience in a similar strategic sourcing, category management and/or channel management leadership role in the healthcare industry is preferred.
Proven leadership characteristics such as working well with others, knowledge sharing expertise with fellow peers, functioning with tact and diplomacy, and presenting an overall positive attitude.
Strong problem solving, time management, and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Ability to effectively build relationships is essential.
Ability to work independently and effectively as a member of a team.
Strong negotiating skills are essential.
