We have an immediate opening in our Charlotte office for a Supervising Water Engineer to support our municipal clients. The candidate will be responsible help grow the firm’s Water Engineering Business in the Charlotte, NC area. Position primary focus will be managing large complex municipal infrastructure projects and teams, business development activities to nurture existing clients and develop new clients, and sub consultants. Complete complex contract negotiations with clients and sub consultants. Candidate will be focused on municipal water distribution and waste water collection system projects including pump stations plus have the ability to support transportation projects.   At WSP, we are driven by inspiring the right people to be part of our future-focused business objectives. Come join us and help shape the future!   Position Description:   ·Project/Program management, business development (seller-doer), staff development for municipal water/wastewater projects ·Capable of developing and leading complex project teams ·Take full responsibility for ensuring financial success of projects and programs ·Capable of serving as a Subject Matter Expert for municipal water/wastewater projects ·Conduct complex staff development and mentoring of staff to energize all level of WSP organization   Requirements Talent is the essence of meeting our client’s objectives, goals and challenges.  If this sounds like a fit for you, we’d love to have that first discussion of you joining our team.   Education / Experience Required:   ·10 or more years’ experience in managing large complex municipal infrastructure conveyance projects and teams in North Carolina ·Registered Professional Engineer in North Carolina required, a bonus if also have South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia ·Capable of serving as a Subject Matter Expert for municipal water/wastewater conveyance projects ·Affiliations with professional societies and active industry and community involvement ·Authorization to immediately work in the United States ·Excellent written and verbal communication skills    About WSP USA   WSP USA is the U.S. operating company of one of the world's leading engineering and professional services firms.
