Department: HPS-Product Development

Reporting to: Dir, Product

The main initial project is to build, maintain and own the Medicare language benefit library repository by comparing and analyzing existing documentation available within different data sources and create one single source of truth for all benefit content that will be used in the creation of members and sales materials.Analyzes and monitors the performance of all lines of business and provides product and industry reports to help formulate strategy recommendations to Product/Line of Business teams and leadership based on performance data. Serves as advisor to Product teams and leader on all issues related to product performance. Develops competitive analysis of product positioning, industry trends, market share and managed care penetration along with other data to support product strategy and development. Create and update product repository/information with accurate benefit information while meeting strict timeline.

Section II - Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serves as a product subject matter expert (SME), understanding all aspects of the product benefit design, marketing requirements/restrictions, materials/communications, related financials, competitive landscape, etc.

    Manages multiple product-related projects from end-to-end, including developing project plans, establishing deliverables and timelines, assigning responsibilities, facilitating meetings with impacted teams, holding team members accountable, and providing status reports.Supports cross-functional teams with the necessary product knowledge and operational expertise to help achieve product-related goals for development, implementation, management and growth of the product.

Performance Monitoring and Analysis

    • Creates, monitors and analyzes product scorecard/dashboard for all Business Lines from key performance indicators and identifies product or process improvements for performances variances.
    • Leads in the planning and development of various analyses which are used by Product teams and leadership to evaluate decision options. Alerts management to risks, issues and opportunities identified in the data to address gaps or opportunities.
    • Gathers and monitors information from the market regarding, but not limited to, market trends, economic conditions, legal and regulatory developments, and competitor strategies and actions
    • Help determining the competitiveness of our products and the impact of benefit changes on enrollment and disenrollment, membership, market share, penetration, etc.

Product Reporting

    • Collaborates with business partners to obtain and develop product metrics for area of accountability. Consolidate information for Product teams and leadership, as requested.
    • Works with Product leadership to develop management and executive level reports
    • Provide assistance with defining requirements and design solutions to capture required data with projects and initiatives and designed reporting mechanisms to display and report the metrics.
    • Develop solid understanding of data information sources and tools used for data mining, analysis, and reporting.
    • Support forecasting processes tied to membership projections and budgeting.

Creation of product repository

    • Create accurate tables with product information to be distributed across the organization
    • Drive creation of tables as well as provide the product matter expertise of the data within them
    • Work with Product development and Product content team to develop tools that will allowed the creation of materials and display of benefits in more efficient way.
    • Become the subject matter expert in the system that are used to perform the job

Candidate Education:

  • Required A Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • Required or equivalent work experience 2 yrs business information or analytics
Candidate Experience:
  • Required 5 years of experience in strong analytics, preferably in healthcare
Candidate Skills:
  • Intermediate Demonstrated written communication skills
  • Intermediate Demonstrated interpersonal/verbal communication skills
  • Intermediate Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers and management
  • Intermediate Ability to analyze and interpret financial data in order to coordinate the preparation of financial records
