Roles & Responsibilities: Full Time position.
This position provides aircraft instrumentation and wiring support to the Air Vehicle Modification and Instrumentation (AVMI) Facility Webster Outlying Field in St Inigoes MD.
The Engineering Tech IV applies technical knowledge to perform general engineering support functions for wiring, drafting, sheet metal, electronics or machining disciplines. Must have technical knowledge to demonstrate a practical application of tools and techniques to assigned duties. This position receives technical guidance from supervisor or higher level technicians. Work is reviewed at initiation for proper techniques and monitored for specific compliance with accepted practices and work assignments.
The Engineering Technician IV performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Work is reviewed for technical adequacy or conformity with instructions. This technician performs at this level one or a combination of such typical duties as:
Conditions will vary. Most work performed in enclosed buildings. Work will include sitting, standing, walking, lifting and reaching. Must be capable of lifting 50, 50-100 lbs. assisted by other employees.
Working hours are 5:30am to 3:00pm or 6am-3:30pm. Possible flex working hours. Overtime maybe required.
High School Diploma or equivalent
Aircraft experience required
experience with UAV/UAS platforms
Minimum 10 years experience
Possess a valid drivers license.
U S Citizenship required and must have a DoD Interim Security clearance and maintain clearance throughout employment.
All candidates will be required to pass a consumer report and/or consumer investigation to include SSN, Driver Record and Criminal Background Investigation.
