We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with 7 to 15 years of professional experience to be part of our Structures Solutions Division in our West Palm Beach office.

The Senior Structural Engineer will impact key projects through Structural Design, Project Management, and Client Management. This person will be responsible for the structural design of facilities in support of a variety of markets including Private Developers, Municipal and County Government, and Federal Clients. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. This individual will need to operate effectively and concurrently on multiple projects, should be self-motivated, and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically excellent structural designs.


• Project management on assigned projects, acting as the main liaison with clientele
• Leading complex structural design efforts, and the development of drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as field inspection, the resolution of RFIs, and the review of shop drawings during construction
• Leadership of structural design team on major ongoing structure projects
• Quality control and timeliness of all deliverables
• Coordination and guidance to staff assigned to projects
• Assist business development efforts with preexisting and target clientele
• Participate in and assist with client meetings, marketing pursuits, writing letters of interest, and project presentations
• Review engineering work produced by junior engineers to ensure designs, plans, and calculations are complete and accurate
• Coordinate with other engineering disciplines and other firms on complex multi-discipline projects

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college (Masters preferred)
• Florida Professional Engineering Registration or ability to obtain in 6 months
• Experience in the design of buildings, bridges, civil structures including water and wastewater facilities, seawalls, and other unique structures including forensic engineering
• Understanding of designs utilizing concrete, masonry, precast, prestressed components, steel, wood, and composites is required

• Proficiency in STAAD, TEKLA, or RAM analysis software, FB multi Pier, and Mathcad
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit
• Good verbal communication and technical writing skills
• Ability to train entry level staff
• Must have the ability to assist senior management in pursuing new work with existing and prospective clients
