Job Description


The role of the Healthcare Business Analyst at CNSI is to develop documentation related to complex projects and information systems and apply business analysis knowledge to review and analyse system problems and recommended solutions; to include, managing scope changes.

What you'll do:

  • Functions as an individual contributor and works under minimal supervision to develop and modify documentation related to complex projects and information systems
  • Applies in-depth business analysis knowledge to review and analyze systems problems to identify solutions
  • Develops and reviews use cases, workflow diagrams, and gap analysis to create and modify requirements documents and design specifications
  • Develops and maintains business and functional process related XLC artifacts, such as Business Requirements Document, User Guide, and contributes as necessary to all XLC documents as needed, providing clear and concise requirements documentation to include business, functional, and non-functional requirements
  • Analyzes user requirements and client business needs using standard procedures
  • Identifies and manages scope of changes based on client requirements
  • Ensures bi-directional traceability of requirements
  • Supports user/system acceptance testing, and implementation of information systems
  • Tracks and reports status of work assignments
  • Prioritizes and schedules work assignments based on the project plan, handling multiple tasks across project phases
  • Creates and modifies Business Process Models
  • Facilitates solution development to existing business/customer problems
  • Communicates issues and risks to manager or direct supervisor
  • Functions as a subject matter expert for multiple modules
  • Responsible for delivery of Detailed System Design Document (DSDD) for multiple modules

Who you are:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree required: Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • You have 7-11 years of business analysis experience or 9 - 13 years of relevant work experience
  • You have experience working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) development environment, including demonstrated experience with Medicare encounters, claims and pricing
  • You have deep knowledge of EDI 837 transaction set layouts
  • You have knowledge of CMS Risk Adjustment Suite of Systems (RASS)
  • You have experience with CMS eXpedited Life Cycle (XLC)
  • You understanding of the requirements management life cycle
  • You have the ability to handle multiple projects, with varying priorities, and meet deadlines and deliver to commitments
  • You have the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize individual and team tasks
