Developers at Sprague work in a fast-paced environment, where they can learn and grow while contributing to the business at a high level. Specifically, developers operate in an agile environment to design, code, test, and implement multidimensional systems supporting our business operations. Developers collaborate with others on our robust in-house IT team, transforming functional requirements and user stories into tools to move the business forward. Developers at all levels are encouraged to build their own knowledge and skillset through Sprague-supported mentoring, certifications and advanced education.
Major Duties / Responsibilities:
Design, code and test solutions
Produce technical documentation
Identify problems and resolutions
Work as a member of an agile team composed of developers, product owners and scrum masters
Develop integration and interface routines, server/client configurations and reports.
Test and deploy new releases into production.
Mentor less senior developers, transferring skills and product knowledge.
Adhere to coding standards and processes.
Developers should have some experience in and desire to learn:
Middle Tier: Experience with .NET, C# .NET CORE and OOP, Distributed Computing via WCF, Web Services, Web API
Back End: Experience working with MS SQL Server (SSMS, stored procedures, relational schema design, SQL triggers); Entity Framework; ETL Tools/SSIS
Mobile: Experience working in Hybrid or Native development, Ionic, Xamarin
Cloud Computing: Experience in AWS EC2, AWS RDS, AWS S3, AWS Tools, SDKs and CLI, Azure
Developer roles are tiered, with the highest skilled team members at senior levels
Ideal Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 3 years development experience or an equivalent combination of related education, experience and training
Adept in Front End, Middle Tier and/or Back End areas as noted above
Team Foundation Server and Source Control experience
Understand the software development lifecycle
Research and resolve issues independently
Documentation and tracking from inception through resolution
