Job Summary:

This role is responsible for analytics and reporting around our products, packages, and pricing. Looking for a driven individual interested in fostering real change in the business. The ideal candidate has experience in both the front and back end of the analytics process. Will consolidate data across multiple servers to develop actionable, front-end reporting. Will be able to conduct predictive analysis to guide decision-making to develop the most competitive customer experience possible. Takes the initiative and can work with limited guidance. Develops relationships across many levels of leadership to turn analysis into operational reality. Strong experience in visualization software required (Tableau preferred). Strong SQL skills required.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Translates large datasets and complex problems into visualizations that tell the correct story and inform decision making

-Creates insightful, comprehensive, intuitive and actionable reports on an ad hoc and recurring basis

-Initiates communication of findings via oral, written, and visual delivery to all levels of management

-Collaborates with other organizations to reconcile different approaches and drive common understanding

-Designs and writes queries to extract, assemble, and prepare data across multiple data systems

-Provides analysis to evaluate/validate pricing/packaging strategy and initiative performance against targets and other benchmarks

-Works independently to come up with rational and defendable approaches to solve analytical problems

Core Responsibilities:
- Performs all business intelligence analysis and data exploitation. Extracts signals and signatures from raw data, integrates that information with other data sources and compiles/disseminates formatted
reports to customers.
- Recommends improvements to competitive business intelligence reports and interpretation of data by sales, business development, product, and executive committees.
- Plans and executes system testing. Requires knowledge of the customer's mission and technology used to accomplish a given task.
- Leads the analysis and reconciliation of data and reporting projects and initiatives delivery.
- Develops, maintains, and reports all relevant product, site, and customer metrics and applies findings to develop appropriate goals and projections.
- Trains others throughout the organization in using key analytical and forecasting tools and statistical analysis.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Job Specifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent

- Field of Study-Business

- Generally requires 5-7 years related experience

Additional Requirements:

-Strong skills in Tableau/PowerBI/visualization software required

-Proficiency in SQL (proficiency in subqueries/CTEs, ranking/partitioning, data types, case statements required; proficiency in stored procs, views, variables preferred)

-Strong Excel skills required (Pivot Tables and advanced lookup functions)

-Self starter, comfortable working independently and forging a new path for the business

-Ability to manage data across multiple database systems (Teradata, Netezza, SQL Server) and develop automated analytical datasets

-Ability to derive analytical insights from data

-Ability to communicate analytical/data insights to senior leadership

-Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment

-Knowledge in other statistical or analytical tools a bonus (Alteryx, R, Python, SAS)

-Ability to create and deploy statistical models preferred

-Product/pricing-oriented background preferred
